Sol Incinerator alternatives compared: fees and features
Short answer: Every tool returns the same rent from the same empty account (about 0.00204 SOL for a legacy account); they differ in the fee they keep and in what else they find. On published fees, Solana Tracker (1%), Sol Incinerator (about 1.9% on a legacy account) and Unclaimed SOL (2% or more) keep the least. SolRent charges more (12%, or 5% with Pro) and adds a no-connect scan, excess-rent withdrawal, free delegate revocation and dust swaps.

Fees for closing empty token accounts
| Tool | Published fee on reclaimed rent | Scan before connecting a wallet? | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sol Incinerator | About 0.00004 SOL per standard account and 0.00007 SOL per Token-2022 account, taken from the rent (about 1.9% of a legacy deposit) | Not stated | sol-incinerator.com |
| Unclaimed SOL | The greater of 2% or any lamports above 0.002 SOL; 5% on excess-lamports recovery | Not stated | unclaimedsol.com |
| Solana Tracker | 1% of recovered rent | Yes, any address | solanatracker.io |
| ClaimYourSOL | A 5% “donation” from the recovered SOL | Not stated | claimyoursol.com |
| RefundYourSOL | From 15%, “matchable down to 2%” | Not stated | refundyoursol.com |
| SolRent | 12% of recovered SOL; 5% with Pro ($5 per 30 days); nothing on revoke-only transactions | Yes, any address | solrent.app |
All tools also pass on the Solana network fee of 5,000 lamports per signature. “Not stated” means the tool’s page does not say either way, not that the feature is missing.
What it means in SOL
Take 200 empty accounts created before September 2026. They hold 200 × 2,039,280 lamports, about 0.408 SOL. Before network fees you keep about 0.404 SOL at 1%, 0.400 SOL with Sol Incinerator’s per-account fee, 0.400 SOL at 2%, 0.387 SOL at 5%, and 0.359 SOL at SolRent’s 12%. The difference between the cheapest and the most expensive tool here, for 200 accounts, is about 0.045 SOL.
What SolRent does beyond closing accounts
SolRent charges more per reclaimed SOL than most tools here. What that fee pays for:
- A read-only scan of any address, with no wallet connection, so you see the exact amount before deciding.
- Excess rent withdrawal after Solana’s 2026 rent reduction (SIMD-0437): SOL above the new minimum, taken from accounts you keep, without closing them. Token-2022 accounts today.
- Delegate revocation for old token approvals, with no SolRent fee (how it works).
- Dust to SOL through Jupiter with 3% maximum slippage, and dead-token burns only for tokens you tick.
- Simulation of every transaction before your wallet asks you to sign, and Token-2022 withheld fees harvested so closes don’t fail.
- Never touches NFTs, frozen accounts, tokens worth more than $5 or anything you didn’t select.
Which one should you use?
- Just closing a pile of empty accounts: a low-fee tool or the spl-token CLI returns the most SOL.
- Cleaning a wallet you keep using (approvals, excess rent, dust, dead tokens): a tool that does all of it in one pass saves time; that is what SolRent is for.
- Either way: scan first, read every transaction in your wallet, and never type your seed phrase into any site.
Common questions
Which tool returns the most SOL?
For the same empty accounts, the rent returned is identical: it is a fixed deposit set by the Solana network, not by the tool. What you keep depends on the fee and on how many accounts a tool finds. On fees alone, the lowest published rates in this comparison are Solana Tracker’s 1% and Sol Incinerator’s roughly 0.00004 SOL per standard account.
Is Sol Incinerator safe?
We don’t audit other tools. Check any reclaim tool, including SolRent, the same way: it should never ask for your seed phrase or private key, it should show every transaction in your own wallet before you sign, it should only close accounts with a zero balance, and it should state its fee before you approve.
Why is SolRent’s fee higher?
SolRent charges 12% of what it recovers (5% on Pro, which costs $5 per 30 days) and nothing on revoke-only transactions. If all you need is to close a batch of empty accounts, a lower-fee tool returns more SOL. SolRent is built for the rest of the clean-up: excess rent on accounts you keep, risky delegate approvals, dust and dead tokens, in one simulated pass.
Can I reclaim rent without any tool?
Yes. The spl-token CLI closes empty accounts for network fees only, and some wallets can burn or close tokens from their menus. See doing it by hand.
